The moment you are in

Why does buying a home make insurance feel so confusing?

Buying a home compresses unfamiliar decisions into a few busy weeks. The lender needs proof, quotes arrive with different numbers, and the policy language is rarely written for a first-time buyer. You deserve an explanation that makes the choice clearer, not another closing task to finish as quickly as possible.

We slow down the part that matters. We learn about the house, compare what the quotes actually include, and explain the differences in language you can use to make a confident decision.

More than a requirement

What deserves attention when you insure a new home?

Start with how the policy would help you put life back together after a serious loss. Then look at the Oklahoma details that can change the answer: storm deductibles, the roof, water, and what rebuilding would cost. The name on the policy matters less than what is inside it.

The house is new to you. The policy should not feel like a mystery.

How we help

How does Heritage help before and after closing?

We make room for questions, compare the parts that actually change your protection, and help you choose without pressure. After closing, we are still here when the first renewal arrives, the roof changes, you renovate, or the new house begins to feel like home.

Questions new homeowners ask us

When should I arrange homeowners insurance before closing?

Start once you are under contract and know the property address. Beginning early gives you time to compare more than the premium, answer questions about the home, and provide the lender what it needs without making an important decision during the final rush before closing.

Are two homeowners insurance quotes basically the same?

No. Two quotes can both be called homeowners insurance while using different deductibles, roof settlement terms, water protection, building-code coverage, and limits. A lower premium can be a good result, but it only becomes a useful comparison after you understand what each policy would actually do after a loss.

Should I combine home and auto insurance?

Combining home and auto can simplify the household and may improve pricing, but it should not be automatic. We compare the policies together, including the coverage and total cost, then use one carrier or more than one based on what creates the better overall fit.

Can Heritage review the policy I already chose for closing?

Yes. Closing moves quickly, and many buyers choose a policy before they have time to understand every detail. We can review what you purchased, explain the meaningful parts in plain language, and help you decide whether anything should change now or at the next renewal.
